BABYKLAPPE STUTTGART – SAVING THE LIVES OF NEW-BORN BABIES:

If your situation appears extremely difficult and hopeless, then there is help at hand from the "Babyklappe Stuttgart" (Stuttgart Baby Flap). It offers you the possibility of leaving your new-born baby in caring hands. At the Weraheim (a care home for women and children) you will find a flap through which you can anonymously lay your infant down in a warm bed. You can leave a letter with the child and be sure that this will be given to the child at a later date.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? The baby is brought to the Olgahospital (paediatric hospital) where it receives health care and is then looked after by a care family. In the Weraheim you can then find out what other forms of help are on offer to you. If we do not hear from you within 8 weeks, the baby will be passed on to an adopting family.

NO PUNISHMENT AND GUARANTEED ANONYMITY!
